Nesting Nightmare

The last thing anyone wants to find in their bathtub are floating tidbits of toilet paper, poo, and other items best left for a sewage treatment plant. It’s especially frustrating if you’re 20 weeks pregnant, when the broken sewage pipe causing the back-up is 4 feet under your beautifully tiled kitchen floor, and the plumbers only solution is to jack-hammer through four feet of cement to “get this here pipe put back together”.

Thirteen weeks, ten gazillion calls to our insurance company, one “Look at how pregnant I am. Do you really want to tick me off” trip to the tile company later and we have started the demolition needed to fix the problem.

Though the demolition and laying of new tile portion of the project will only last a week…the whole thing is one big ol’ Nesting Nightmare.

The original 6 foot by 6 foot hole.

The kitchen floor with no tiles.

Everything from our kitchen, bathroom, and laundry room piled into our front room…awesome.

Just where I wanted to find my bathroom toilet…on the deck.
